Here are the five things you need to think about if you want a country style in the kitchen.
Do you dream of a country-style kitchen? You will come a long way if you remember these five features: kitchen island, long table, dish rack, pantry and a real mix of overcap and open shelves.
Some of the points with a rural kitchen are that you have plenty of space. Good room for cooking, to store tableware and food, and to have dinner guests at the long table.
A kitchen island is therefore a must. A proper long table is also included in the kitchen, with space for family and friends as we invite for dinner. Good closet space is also important – we have room for both raw materials and crockery. Platter shelf belongs, the same makes a proper old-fashioned chest of drawers, with plenty of space for food.
Convenient and nostalgic decor
The rural kitchen has the right mix of overclocking and open shelves, cabinets with glass doors and, of course, some standalone items. Smart, some old-fashioned solutions like the integrated backfire, we simply continue because it’s very convenient! The decor may look like space and we like details that give the handmade and nostalgic feel, like bowl handles, paneled fronts and sides, and surface hinges.
Good with armor
We bring vegetables and berries from the garden, we bake ourselves and bale with everything from juicers to chopping machines. This requires space and, not least, height, be careful not to put in excessive overcapacity. Heng overcaptains are a little higher than usual if you need it so you have plenty of room to work. A kitchen island or a freestanding table is a must in a classic country kitchen and is not least super practical. Relief table, fixed or removable, also comes in handy.
Good cupboard space
Good cupboard space is of course, we will have room for the kitchenware and porcelain for a whole jog, you never know how many people come in for dinner. The freestanding deck closes most of the doors and with sliding doors or open shelves, you get the most beautiful porcelain, together with charming used finds and heirlooms. And do not forget the plate shelf, it will not be a complete rural kitchen without it!
Gather friends and family at the long table
It takes its place, but we’re comfortable at the long table! A large country kitchen can be divided into several zones, making the dining area more intimate. Until the long table it is nice to have a good chair and a bench with pillows. A long leg without back holds a lot, while chairs in different styles are charming. A breakfast zone by the window or a small coffee area by the fireplace is arranged with a flap table that can be adapted to the number of persons.
